Did you know you may be eligible for counseling sessions at no cost to you through your employer’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?
Because EAP benefits are specific to each employer, we may not know which EAP program your company offers. But it’s easy to find out! Simply check with your HR department and ask if your company offers EAP benefits and how many counseling sessions are included.
And remember- even though your employer provides the EAP benefit, your counseling is confidential.
Your employer does not receive details about what you discuss, subject to legal and safety expectations.
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a benefit offered by many employers to provide employees and their families with short-term counseling and support for personal or work-related concerns.
EAP counseling typically provides a limited number of sessions at no cost to the employee, depending on the employer’s specific EAP plan. If additional counseling is needed after the EAP sessions are completed, the counselor can discuss options for continued care.
